Is Tutoring Right for Me?

Lessons are tailored to fit your requirements and that is one reason 1-on-1 private is the best way to learn. When Can I Get Tutoring?

We provide tutors 7 days a week. We can usually work around your schedule and find a tutor to meet your requirements.  Most tutors are available after school and often on weekends.

Where is Tutoring Done?

Tutoring (especially in the case of children) is usually done at home, but we can also meet students at the local library or another convenient location. A parent or adult should be at home when a child is being tutored.

How Long Are the Tutoring Sessions?

We recommend 1 or 1½ hour sessions for younger children and 1 ½ or 2 or more hours per lesson for other students.

How can I Be Sure My Tutor is Qualified?

Almost always our tutors have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and have OCT Ontario teacher certification or have special academic qualifications in a subject. Our professional staff screen all credentials.

What If I Need To Change Class Time?

Please book regular class days/dates with Learning Tree Tutors administration.  You can arrange any minor changes such as change in arrival time, time change on same day, etc., with your tutor directly.  Either your tutor or your Learning Tree Tutors contact person can be contacted about change in schedule or cancellation.

Late Policy?

If a student is late, the session will end at the originally scheduled time and the student is charged for the regular lesson.

Cancellation Policy?

Please give adequate notice if you need to cancel any scheduled class, normally a minimum of 24 hours before the class. In case of emergency call us first thing in the morning of the same day of the class and speak directly to either the office or the teacher. ** Note: there is a 1 hour late cancellation charge if a you cancel without adequate notice.**

Children Under 18 Years

Please ensure that a responsible adult is at home. Tutors are there to teach  only and do not take on  responsibility for childcare or property.

What If I Want Another Teacher?

We will arrange another teacher for you if there is a demonstrable need to get a replacement, The first session is considered a trial to see if there is a good fit.

Do My Tutoring Hours Expire?

You can use your hours  within 12 months of purchase with no increase in price for the same type of service.  (We will see what we can do even if you return after a long absence),

Payments? How Can I Pay?

Make payments online  by credit card (PayPal) or through INTERAC online banking.  Make your payment at least 24 hours before your first session or before an installment payment is due.  There are no cash payments or payments paid directly to your teacher accepted.

Refunds/ Guarantee

Please see our Guarantee page for our policy details. There will be a $25.00 processing fee charged if a refund for unused hours is given after the first 2 sessions,
